Overview

This integration is available as part of the Managed Scans enterprise feature, enabling organizations to offload the scanning of code repositories to HoundDog.ai based on their preferred scan frequency (e.g., daily or weekly).

Prerequisites

In order to integrate HoundDog.ai with your Bitbucket Data Center, the HoundDog.ai Broker must be installed and configured in your on-premises environment. Once the broker is connected, users can import the code repositories they wish to scan, and the findings will appear in the HoundDog.ai Cloud Platform.

Managed Scans

HoundDog.ai’s managed scans follow the approach used by popular SAST vendors (e.g., Snyk, Veracode, Checkmarx, Semgrep) and adhere to the strictest data handling standards. Differential scanning ensures that after the initial scan, only changes in the code are sent for subsequent scans.

HoundDog.ai utilizes AWS S3 to store the minimal amount of source code required for scanning, retaining it for the shortest possible duration in accordance with the cloud provider’s storage lifecycle policy. Scanning is performed in ephemeral containers running on AWS ECS Fargate, ensuring both security and efficiency.
